Austrian BioImaging/CMI has organized an innovation meeting. Kareem Elsayad, a PI from Department of Anatomy at the Medizinische Universität Wien, presented his work and showed how we can optically and non-invasively measure and map the microscopic viscous and elastic properties of cells/tissues. Razieh Khoshnevisan, a postdoc from the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Traumatology, The Research Center in Cooperation with AUVA, presented her research project on vimentin cages in senescent cells. The discussions that followed showed that there is an interface and possible collaboration to develop an innovative interdisciplinary project between research groups. Many thanks to all participants for their feedback.
