A new publication: In situ isotropic 3D imaging of vasculature perfusion specimens using x-ray microscopic dual-energy CT
This work introduces advanced microDECT imaging protocols that provide unprecedented visualization and analysis of microvasculature in intact tissue, enhancing our understanding of vascular structures in relation to soft and hard tissue morphology. By enabling the effective separation of vasculature from skeletal tissues and facilitating the integration of multiple staining techniques, these protocols expand the potential for comprehensive 3D vascular phenotyping. The ability to automate image processing into distinct channels for skeletal, vascular, and soft tissue analysis opens new avenues for data-driven research and correlative imaging applications.
