All-hands-Nodes Meeting in Heidelberg

Sharing ideas and developing synergies between Research Infrastructures (RIs) in Europe is crucial for the European Research Area.

It was amazing to attend the All-hands-Nodes Meeting 2025 at EMBL-Heidelberg (March 25–28), where researchers, imaging facility staff, and Node representatives of Euro-BioImaging came together to strengthen our European Network and also explore 🌎 global opportunities with Global BioImaging.

We had great discussions on different topics, including collaborating with industry, new imaging technologies, improving user access, job shadowing between RIs, and training possibilities for staff members — all key topics for the future of biological and biomedical IMAGING.

I was also pleased to present and explain the importance of developing [marketing] strategies to increase the use of advanced imaging technologies.

The success story of PlantPhenotyping at Vienna Biocenter Core Facilities GmbH from our Austrian BioImaging Node in the AgroServ project was a perfect showcase of how tailored visibility can boost the user request to unique infrastructures at 🇪🇺 European levels.
