Austrian BioImaging is proud to celebrate the launch of a new book on imaging technologies in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, edited by Heinz Redl from the Institute of Traumatology at the Ludwig Boltzmann Society. This international volume brings together leading experts to create a unique, updateable resource for researchers and students worldwide.

We asked Heinz what makes this project stand out:

Austrian BioImaging: Why was this book needed?

Heinz Redl: “There are so many imaging technologies out there that it’s difficult to see what is available. Especially in tissue regeneration and tissue engineering, imaging is key to obtaining reliable results. This book spreads the news about what exists and who the specialists are.”

Austrian BioImaging: What is unique about the format?

Heinz Redl: “The book is updateable. Authors can change or add chapters anytime. This makes it a living resource, not a static review.”

Austrian BioImaging: Who will benefit most from this book?

Heinz Redl: “Not everybody is aware of the many imaging possibilities. With free electronic access for TERMIS members, it’s an incredible resource for researchers and especially for students entering the field to see what’s available—from materials to cells to bioprinting and advanced imaging.”

The electronic edition is freely accessible to members of TERMIS, the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society, making it an invaluable guide for both established researchers and the next generation of scientists.

We are especially proud that Austrian BioImaging members contributed as authors and editors to this book.
