IN VIVO OPTICAL IMAGING
The IVIS Spectrum System is a highly sensitive, in vivo fluorescence and bioluminescence imaging tool that allows for functional imaging. It utilizes epi-illumination and transillumination to enable detection of signals in deeper layers. An integrated anesthesia unit for small rodents (mice, rats) allows the simultaneous detection of up to five mice within the 23 cm image field of view. The system can achieve a resolution of up to 20 µm.
The comprehensive software provides numerous options for quantification and visualization, such as spectral unmixing and single-view 3D tomography for analysing detected signals in anatomical context, using an integrated mouse atlas.
Application
– Whole mouse live imaging
– Monitoring desease, tumor progression
– Visualising physiological processes
– Pharmacokinetic studies
